In Folgaria a luxury villa overlooks the surrounding landscape between wood and light

The place is one of those that enchant mountain lovers but also those who might usually prefer the sea: Folgaria, in the heart of Alpe Cimbra.

Recently renovated and immersed in nature, surrounded by a casket of mountains but a few steps from the town center, this private villa shows all the modern devices to live in perfect harmony with the beauty of the landscape in which it is inserted.

The large windows flood the spaces with natural light, evoking a suggestive and relaxing atmosphere. The structure is characterized by two large bow windows which, with their protrusions, offer an all-encompassing view of the surrounding mountains. Glass is the protagonist not only in the windows, but also in the spacious terrace of the front facade, since the parapet has been specially arranged in transparency to lighten the volumes and not obscure the view. A perfect cohesion between wood, the predominant element that characterizes the entire structure and typical of mountain houses, and the sophisticated and modern style that make the villa unique in its kind.

Particular attention deserves the external area of the villa. In fact, the client opted for an extremely versatile and efficient solution, as well as ecological, by raising the flooring. Eterno Ivica has been on the construction market for over 60 years, offering its high-quality products and the supports of the Pedestal line, in particular, are the flagship for the construction of floating floors.

In this case, the Eterno SE and Start.T product range with aluminium joist was chosen, with which it was possible to create a continuous floor despite the presence of significant differences in level from area to area, managing to compensate for all the different heights, from 10 mm (Star.T) to 450 mm (SE12).

On the ground floor, in an area of 85 square meters, SE10, SE11 and SE12 type supports were used, and given the considerable height reached, the stainless steel safety plate was used, a fundamental accessory for further protection. In the event of accidental breakage of the flooring element, this galvanized sheet by attaching it to the fins of the supports, will increase the resistance by supporting everything above it.

The rest of the flooring, about 80 square meters, was made with SE3 type supports (75-120 mm). An elegant anthracite gray porcelain stoneware 60x60 cm and 2 cm thick with an anti-slip R11 finish was chosen for the entire coverage.

The area with decking, on the other hand, of about 40 square meters, was made with SE6 supports (140-230 mm) and aluminium joist with relative clips; the floor was made with 19 x 125 mm thick TEAK wooden slats.

On the first floor there are 4 terraces, one on each side of the house for a total of 80 square meters, also built with the raised floor technology. Here the supports SE0, SE1, SE2 and Star.T were used, while the same porcelain stoneware tiles of the external flooring were chosen for the finishing.

The result is extremely elegant and homogeneous and the villa as a whole represents a perfect combination of technologies and rustic elements typical of mountain chalets.
