Nestled between the Gulf of Pozzuoli and the unmistakable silhouette of Mount Vesuvius, Villa Gervasio is set within a landscape where nature and architecture blend seamlessly. The view opens onto the Phlegraean Fields, encompassing the Aragonese Castle of Baia, the volcanic lakes and, further in the distance, the outlines of Ventotene and the Pontine archipelago emerging clearly on the horizon.
In this remarkably evocative setting, the pool edge becomes a connecting element between built space and landscape, transforming into an elegant surface perfectly integrated with its surroundings.
The intervention, developed over an area of 65.5 sqm, was carried out using the Woodeck system, a solution designed to ensure stability, durability and precision even in complex applications such as pool edges. Thanks to the technology of adjustable pedestals, the walking surface is perfectly levelled, compensating for any slopes while ensuring both aesthetic and functional continuity.
The structure is based on:
- 594 PR3 pedestals (155–420 mm), strategically distributed as follows: 409 internal pedestals to ensure solidity and surface uniformity, and 185 perimeter pedestals designed to precisely define the edge and enhance the architectural layout
- 166 standard eco aluminium joists
The raised system also allows optimal management of the underlying technical space, facilitating water drainage and system inspection without compromising the overall aesthetics.
The result is a continuous, clean and refined surface, enhancing the direct relationship with the marine and volcanic landscape. Here, decking is not just a technical solution, but a design element that amplifies the outdoor experience, guiding the gaze towards infinity.
